It's summer time, and summer in Tampa Bay means Tarpon. Strong tides brought about by full and new moon phases have been producing quality poons.

For best results fish the crab chew in the ports and passes or fish the main bridges by free lining live threadfins or pinfish.  Swim baits at night worked along the shadow line (in the upper Bay) have been the ticket.

Look for a crazy insane tarpon season this year.
